Mindfulness and Flow Workshop Series January 25-March 15 Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm $40/2-hour session ($320 total paid in 2 installments of $160)
8 session closed group, limit of 12 participants
Workshop style group which will focus on the effective practices of Mindfulness and Flow for improving mood and functioning. In this group, we will use a Cognitive Behavioral framework to learn how thinking effects behavior and mood in many aspects of life. We will develop skills to support a practice of Mindfulness meditation to reduce rumination and distorted thinking patterns. Group members will improve functioning and meaning-making by exploring the concept of Flow and creating changes in their life which reflect personal intention and achievement.
This workshop is interactive. Lecture, discussion, in-group experiential activities and home practice are crafted to give a multifaceted approach to learning.
MINDFULNESS: a popular term for practicing awareness of the present moment is shown to reduce emotional and physical suffering.
FLOW: a sense of full, invested attention and focus which can mitigate emotional suffering and support a feeling of purpose.
